Booking & Service Fees
Booking sites charge excessive service fees to the renter as well as to the owner of the property. A $2,000 monthly rental incurs over $200 in booking fees to the renter so if you make a reservation for 5 months, you will pay at least $1,000 in non-refundable fees.
Realty Costa Rica charges zero booking or service fees to the renter for the same accomodation. It is important to note that booking sites provide little to no in-person service to their customers.
